New Zealand holiday homes, commonly referred to 'Bach's' or 'cribs' by New Zealanders and available for holiday rental year round. Each holiday house is privately owned and rental is negotiated between the guests and the owner or their agent.
Holiday homes in New Zealand are uniquely located, many primarily so to capture the country's stunning surroundings. A traditional Summer holiday in New Zealand is usually spent at the beach, so beach side self contained holiday houses are most popular. Other locations include private retreats in the countryside, inner city apartments, or urban dwellings.
What can you expect with Holiday Homes
All NZ vacation homes are self contained and guests are left alone with their own privacy. Many extras are left in the house for guests to use, from children's toys to water sports equipment. Properties can vary in both size and price - from the rustic Kiwi bach through to a 5 star executive home.
Holiday houses can be a cheaper option for families and groups traveling together, and are ideally suited for longer stays as many have minimum night stay periods. Therefore holiday homes are suitable for people relocating to New Zealand, as well as holidaymakers.
Holiday home prices are seasonal, especially over the Christmas/New Year period where advance bookings are recommended.
