Bronte at Prospect Hill offers heritage 5 star luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in Auckland City's leafy seaside suburb of Howick, just 20 minutes from the airport, with fast ferry service to downtown, and easy access to the north-south motorway system and all of Auckland's city wide attractions.

In our gracious heritage listed homestead, set in private gardens just a few minutes stroll from restaurants, galleries and great shopping, we offer a maximum of just two guests genuinely boutique luxury accommodation in a spacious multi room suite. With a warm welcome and our relaxed, friendly but unobtrusive hospitality, this is a special place to relax, unwind and indulge.

Brontë Suite
Brontë at Prospect Hill offers accommodation to just two guests in the beautifully appointed multi-room Brontë Suite which features it's own private external entry ( as well as internal homestead access ), entry halll, lounge, bedroom, dressing room and bathroom. Brontë occupies an individual wing of Prospect Hill and so while part of the homestead our guests can enjoy a sense of seclusion if they wish.

The Brontë Suite is fully air conditioned and in-suite features include:

Howick is one of the lovely Eastern Bays of Auckland and the nearest to the airport. It has a rich history and a charming but vibrant village atmosphere, with an eclectic mix of specialty shopping, galleries, cafes and restaurants and a choice of local beaches. Both the airport ( 20 minutes ) and the CBD ( 20 minutes off-peak ) are easily assessible. A fast ferry service will transport you rapidly to and from the CBD and other city areas - also providing a great way to enjoy our city's beautiful harbour.

One of New Zealand's largest premier shopping precincts, Botany ( pictured top right ) is a six minute drive.

Howick has easy access to the motorway system to provide you with stress free arrival into, or departure from our city. Forget inner city congestion when arriving or leaving - and use the time saved to enjoy the real New Zealand.

We are also at the start of the official scenic route south - the Pohutakawa Coast section of the Pacific Coast Highway - which provides a scenic gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula, Rotorua,Taupo and beyond. We strongly recommend that if you are leaving and then returning to Auckland that you use the Pacific Coast highway in at least one direction. And, as befits Howick's seaside location, we are also the gateway to the Gulf Islands, including Waiheke, providing both passenger and Auckland's only regular vehicular ferry services.
