Chelsea House Bed & Breakfast is a lovely 100-year-old villa, fully renovated inside and out with careful attention to detail. Restored to its original English summer cottage charm, those who appreciate elegance and of course some great tea and biscuits will really enjoy all that Chelsea House has to offer.
Chelsea House maintains its feeling of quiet seclusion while still being handy to amenities and the other attractions of city life such as shopping and restaurants. Northland also abounds in natural wonders such as world-famous beaches, forests, vineyards, gardens and orchards.
Accommodation
Chelsea House Boutique Bed and Breakfast has three guest rooms, all non-smoking. Beds have 100% cotton linen, ensuites have hairdryers and heated towel rails.
- Ledwith Room: This room has a most comfortable Queen bed with quality linen and an ensuite. French doors opening onto a verandah overlooking the front garden.
- Parahaki Room: This room has a comfortable Super King bed which can be split into two single beds. It also has quality linen and an ensuite. The front window views to Mt Parahaki
- Kauri Room: This room is small and cosy with twin beds. Guests using this room share the new well appointed family bathroom. Bathrobes provided.

Activities & Amenities
Whangarei has many restaurants and cafes. The Town Basin is a lovely venue for morning coffee, lunch or dinner; really interesting speciality shops, art galleries and the Claphams Clock collection. Whangarei and the Northland region have excellent golf courses, horse trekking, dolphin and whale watch, adventure treks, scenic flights, and much more.
From Chelsea House, you are able to cross the road, and take a real bush walk. Climb to the summit of Parahaki which is 242 metres. The track is good, and the view from the top is certainly worth the climb! A.H. Reed Park 15 minutes North East of the city has a boardwalk across the bush. The Northern beaches simply have to be seen to be believed! Tutukaka Coast boasts the finest beaches and scenery. This is the base for the famous Poor Knights Islands diving experience and Deep Sea Fishing. Matapouri and Whale Bay a closeby.
