Deep Bay Apartment provides self contained holiday accommodation on Stewart Island (NZ)
Welcome to our newly completed home and its attached private apartment. We fell in love with this secluded beach front location and have built the house of our dreams.
We are around 3 kilometres from Halfmoon Bay (Oban). We meet you at the air terminal or ferry wharf and return you there at the end of your stay.
Depending on our commitments we will be happy to drop you into the village or elsewhere if you want to take advantage of wonderful walking tracks. Rental cars are easily available and are well worth while if you would like to explore some of the Island's fascinating byways and beaches.
If you want absolute peace and a sense of complete release from the stresses of your world, then Deep Bay Apartment is just the place. You can stretch out on the balcony, listen to and watch the native birds, walk along the beach with the Oyster Catchers or pick their way amongst the rocks and shells at low tide.
Stewart Island Apartment
Wander through this self-contained spacious apartment. We designed the apartment to be wheelchair friendly, from the ramp coming off your own driveway and throughout the apartment.
Entrance
From your entrance move on into the large open plan living area nestled amongst native bush and looking out on its own balcony with sea view . How about making a cup of coffee and nibble on some freshly made cookies or relax in a comfortable leather lounge suite, while you consider how you intend enjoying our Island.
Bedrooms
Your Queen bedroom opens off the foyer and affords glorious sea and bush views. If you are coming with friends there is another bedroom (King / twin; at extra cost) further down the hallway, also with a sea view and its own balcony.
Kitchen
Our fully equiped kitchen includes an electric cook top, convection microwave, fridge/ freezer and all the necessary spices, sugar tea, coffee (and milk on arrival). There is a range of china, cutlery and cookware, more than enough for you and friends. A dining area with four place dining table allows you to eat in comfort while enjoying bush and beach views. And if cooking in the kitchen doesn’t appeal there is a BBQ sitting outside on the back deck.
Bathroom
There is a large heated bathroom with toilet, vanity unit, heated mirror, wet floor shower area and oodles of hot water. Diesel heating ensures warmth throughout the apartment on those cool days. Fresh linen and fluffy towels are provided, along with extra pillows and bedding.
Our aim is simple - to make your stay memorably luxurious.
TV / DVD / CD, books, magazines and an internet connection might tempt you to move no further than your own private balcony.
It's your holiday! So to get you off to a good start we will be happy to buy in the food items you require (at your expense) for your first day.There is a well stocked general store in the village ,with a good selection of wine.
