Motu-Au Close Cottages
These 2 new fully self contained modern luxury cottages each on individual sections in the heart of the Manapouri township opened in October 2010. Motu-Au Close cottages are located on adjacent properties so can be used to accommodate groups travelling or holidaying together. Both cottages have indoor/outdoor flow with ranch sliders opening onto wooden decks.
The cottages were purpose built to enable guests to take advantage of being able to walk to Doubtful Sound departure point, Lake Manapouri and Manapouri township's amenitites.
Each cottage has an outdoor living area with gas BBQ's and outdoor furniture Both cottages have garaging for storage of your vehicle, kayaks, bikes etc or bring your golf clubs and enjoy a round of golf at the Te Anau Golf Club with stunnng views over Lake Te Anau (Clubs can also be hired).
The Hunter Mountains, located in Fiordland National Park make tremendous viewing from both cottages and both cottages enjoy quietness away from any traffic noise.
16 Motu-Au Close, Manapouri - No 16 is a two bedroom cottage. The master bedroom has French doors opening out onto a private deck and is ensuited. The two bedrooms are seperated by an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. Each bedroom has a queen size bed.
The cottage has top quality fittings and furnishings including a well appointed kitchen with ceramic cooktop, wall oven, microwave, dishwasher, electric fry pan, toaster, toasted sandwich maker and coffee grinder for fresh plunger coffee (beans provided). An inverter heat pump keeps the cottage cool in summer and warm in winter.
For your entertainment there is a large flat screen TV and DVD system with a selection of DVDs, books and games. Full laundry facilities include an outside clothes line and a clothes dryer. A garage is also located next to the cottage for your use.
18 Motu-Au Close, Manapouri - No 18 is a three bedroom cottage, the master bedroom is ensuited leaving the main bathroom for the other two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed with ranch sliders opening out onto the deck. The second bedroom has queen size bed with ranch sliders opening out onto the deck while the third bedroom has two king single beds. In the lounge one of the sofas folds out to a double bed allowing the cottage to sleep up to 8 people.
The main bathroom contains a shower, bath and wall hung vanity with a seperate toilet located next door. The kitchen, lounge and dining area is open plan and spacious with an island bench in the kitchen area to allow the chef to socialise while cooking.
The cottage is well appointed with quality fittings and furnishings including a full kitchen with ceramic cooktop, wall oven, microwave, dishwasher, electric fry pan, toaster, toasted sandwich maker and coffee grinder for fresh plunger coffee (beans supplied). Kepler Mountain View Cottage - 130 Hillside Manapouri Road, Manapouri - Kepler Mountain View Cottage, located adjacent to our house, is a fully self contained one bedroom cottage with open plan living/dining/kitchen area. A laundry is attached to the bathroom with washing machine and dryer as well as an outdoor clothes line.
The bedroom has a queen bed with stunning views over the Kepler Mountains. All linens are provided free of charge with complimentary tea, coffee, toiletries and laundry powder. Cleaning is provided upon departure.
The cottage is available as Bed and Breakfast or self catering.
All windows give magnificent views of the Kepler Mountains and the cottages own gardens and outdoor living area which is complete with gas BBQ and outdoor furniture.
The outdoor living area looks onto the Kepler, Hunter and Takitimu Mountains. Gardens seperate Kepler Mountain View Cottage from our house to enable privacy for guests.
Kepler Mountain View Cottage captures all day sun, for your comfort a inverter heat pump will quickly warm you up on cool days and cool you down on hot days.
The cottage has a TV with "Free to Air" channels available and DVD player along with a selection of DVD's. Various board games and puzzles along with a wide selection of reading matter is provided.
