Kingston Motels & Holiday Park, Kingston, Southern Lakes
Kingston Motels and Holiday Park offer budget cabins, modern 4-star motel units and spacious campervan, caravan and tent sites close to Queenstown NZ
Kingston is at the southern end of Lake Wakatipu, the home of the historic Kingston Flyer steam train. We’re a stunning 35 minute drive from the airport in Queenstown and 1½ hours drive from Te Anau, so Kingston is an ideal stopover on your way to/from Milford Sound. We’re a 25 minute drive from the entrance to the Remarkable Ski Fields.
Our accommodation is best-value in the Southern Lakes area. You don’t need to pay Queenstown prices to enjoy all that the Southern Lakes area has to offer. We’re a small independent motel, a little bit different but proud of our modern facilities and old-fashioned service. Surrounded by mountains, the motel is opposite the Reserve and the only sounds are the birds and the breeze in the trees. We are part of the Holiday Parks Association Cycle Hub, which means that we provide locked, covered storage for cycles and motor cycles. Our Holiday Park is nearby, a woodland park with mature trees and New Zealand shrubs to attract the native birds. The Kingston Creek meanders through the grounds and we have plenty of picnic areas. We are planting organic vegetables and herbs for our guests to enjoy.
