1 hours drive North of Auckland, 5 minutes to Warkworth or Matakana Village and 2 minutes to Ascension Wine Estate.

ACCOMMODATION

  • Champagne Room - Like the name suggests, this is our premium guestroom, great for those special occasions such as wedding nights or anniversaries. This luxurious and spacious room opens onto a deck with sweeping views over the valley – great for a pre-dinner drink in the late afternoon sun. The Champagne room has a large bathroom consisting of a tub for 2 and a walk in massaging shower.
  • Chardonnay Room - Rich is the word that best describes Chardonnay and explains its popularity. We know this bright sunny guestroom will be popular amongst our guests. With double doors opening onto a sheltered deck, sweeping views and easy access to the pool and spa. The en-suite comes complete with massaging shower unit. The Chardonnay room has a super king bed which can be split for twin share.
  • Chablis Room - Chablis is renowned for it’s purity of aroma and taste. At the Lodge, we feel that the Chablis Room  portrays character and charm. This might be the smallest room in size; however Chablis makes up for it in character and charm. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the size of the en-suite with a massaging shower unit.

Matakana and the surrounding area offer a wide range of activities and attractions including boutique vineyards, golf courses, Morris and James Pottery, Goat Island Marine Reserve and ferries to Kawau Island’s Mansion House, to name a few.
