Away from the bustle of the tourist scene, 1km up a private driveway we welcome you to the peace and tranquility of our 5ha garden and orchard backed by native bush.
Tucked away in the garden enjoy the privacy of our self-contained separate cottage, queen-size/single beds in one spacious room with ensuite, generous lounge/dining area with TV, and fully equipped kitchen. Make your own breakfast from provided food-basket, enjoy fresh fruit/vegies in season, join us for coffee in the natural beauty of our home crafted from an array of natural timbers.
Sue and Derek, your hosts, are creating an environment where native forest and birdlife flourish. Situated in a kiwi protection area, our group works to ensure the long term survival of Whenuakite's kiwi population. With over 30 varieties of visiting birds we can help you with bushwalks, bird-watching, or shellfish-gathering.
