A 12 metre x 3 metre MAGNA lap pool is being built along the front of Villa 1 deck. The international award winning MAGNA POOL is the first of its kind providing guests with superior water. It uses a blend of magnesium & potassium minerals that are beneficial for your health.
The Villas
The Point Villas have been cleverly designed to blend with the natural surroundings, whilst the spacious 1,900 sq. ft. interiors offer guests maximum pleasure and relaxation, as they take in the surrounding native bush, prolific bird song, and beautiful blue-green waters of Mine Bay.
Each villa is elegantly furnished with oak furniture, Seagrass and leather lounge suites and original local artwork. The spacious open living and dining areas lead onto large private decks and terraces. There are state-of-the-art audio-visual entertainment systems, an open fireplace for winter warmth with barbecue and outdoor furniture to enjoy the warmer weather.
Accommodating up to two couples or a family of four, each villa features two master bedrooms with super king-sized or twin king beds. on offer are down duvets & pillows as well as a T.V. and C.D. player in three of the four bedrooms. These large bedrooms open into glorious Italian travertine and double-glazed glass bathrooms that give guests a sublime sense of bathing outdoors amongst New Zealand’s native bush.
Each villa also boasts a beautifully appointed kitchen equipped with the finest European appliances that will delight the keenest culinary expectations. The pantry and fridge are stocked with the basics for cooking, so whether you self cater, pre-order all your provisions or choose full catering using the talents of our world-class chef, all is on hand.
And when the mundane must present itself, each villa has a full laundry, or a valet service option is available on request if preferred.

Greg was appointed head chef at HUKA LODGE from 1986 to 1995.
During this period he was author of two cook books …The Huka Lodge Cook Book & The Huka Lodge
Dessert Book…Both books won the Goodman Fielder Watties cook book of the year .
For many years Greg was active in culinary competitions through N.Z. Australia U.K.& Europe winning many awards including N.Z. chef of the year. He was a member of the N.Z National Culinary team that won Gold in Germany (the only time N.Z. has achieved this) He was also appointed chief judge for the national Culinary Culinaire.

Ten minutes drive from Taupo township the Point offers guests a secluded environment nestled in 24 hectares of native bush with walking tracks that can be enjoyed during their stay. Each Villa accommodates two couples or a family of four, with both master bedrooms opening on to glassed bathrooms that afford the luxury of bathing outdoors. Privacy is assured by offering guests exclusive use of facilities whether one of both villas are booked. In addition, guests have immediate access to floodlit tennis courts ,croquet,petanque, and kayaking. - For Guests requiring on-site chef services including Dinner & Breakfast - $225 per person (it is helpful to jnow dietary requirements prior to guests arrival).
- For guests requiring on-site chef services Dinner only - $150 per person.
- For guests requiring on-site chef services Breakfast only (cooked or continental) - $75 per person.
- For guests requiring breakfast provisions delivered to their villas - continental $25 per person, cooked $35 per person.
- Daily servicing $100 per villa.
