Over 300,000 years, the Tongariro National Park was formed by several different eruptions from at least six volcanic cones, and has developed into what is now regarded as a world-renowned visitor destination.
Bordered by the spectacular Tongariro Forest Park, your quad biking experience will have you breathless as you hammer through dramatic scenery, unique landscape and some of New Zealand’s best nature for an explosive quad biking experience.
Offering half, full and multi-day tours, your guided ride will take you through scenic native bush in one of the most spectacular areas in New Zealand. Tongaririo Quads have been involved in the quad biking industry since 1995 and our guides have a world of experience and a vast knowledge of the culture and heritage of the Tongariro area.
Company owner Malcolm, is part of the expert panel in Quad Biking safety in New Zealand, and has been involved in helping develop the adventure tourism Code of Practice for the ATV industry. Tongariro Quads is also a member of TIANZ.
Stag & Hen Parties

We have the ability to add paintball and/or canyon golf to your trip as well to make it extra special. We can also organise a combination package with rafting for a real adrenalin packed adventure.
Paintball
Malcolm also operates Topgun Paintball. Which specialises in teambuilding combined with extreme fun and excitement! All fields are in native bush and games are suitable for all abilities and group sizes.

- Half Day Ride: Allow 3.5 hours. $199 per person. Tea/Coffee provided. You need to bring warm clothes, sensible footwear and sun-cream. You need to be prepared for all weather conditions.
- Full Day Ride: Allow 6.5 hours. $299 per person. Lunch & Tea/Coffee provided. You need to bring warm clothes, sensible footwear and sun-cream. You need to be prepared for all weather conditions.
- 2 Day Ride - $599 per person. Accommodation with bedding is provided as well as lunch and morning and afternoon tea on both days. Breakfast is also provided on the 2nd day. You pay for your evening meal and drinks at the Owhango Hotel in the village.
