Willows Reach Lodge is a hosted country retreat with luxury accommodation in Kumeu near Auckland. An idyllic place to truly relax and unwind.
Willows Reach Lodge a bed and breakfast farmstay was created to provide a unique tranquil retreat with luxurious accommodation surrounded by the charms of the countryside.
Our five acre lifestyle block in Kumeu Auckland New Zealand has been described as "a little bit of paradise"
Our idea was to offer overseas guests a place to relax and recover from their flight and leave with a desire to return before they depart New Zealand or for New Zealanders to come and enjoy a unique country atmosphere for a weekend break or for a special occasion.
There is a blend of modern facilities from the artist etched shower doors in the ensuite to the fishing lodge themed guest room which is on the banks of a small lake. The lodge has it's own private access, garden, decks and jetty.
To add to the ambiance guests can unwind and relax wandering around the lake,gardens and the surroundings which are part of the English farm concept complete with rustic stables,outbuildings and drystone walls.
You may wish to take your complimentary bottle of wine to the retreat haven and listen to music or go down to the boat shed on the creek where you can watch the ducks and geese.
You can also take the opportunity to mix and pet our very friendly donkeys and Llamas in their paddocks or at the stables.
Willows Reach is close to several wedding venues, vineyards,cafes and restaurants where you can have lunch or dinner and we are only 25 minutes from Auckland city. If you are feeling energetic why not play a round of golf at one of the nearby golf courses especially the links course at Muriwai.
A room for a couple - Relax in this unique large room which is painted dark green with lovely warm rimu wood panelling. All the wooden furniture has been hand made by a local manufacturer and is also rimu which is a native timber of New Zealand. The room is in a fishing lodge theme giving you a true kiwi experience.
Leave here relaxed and rested having slept in our comfortable bed - The very comfortable queensize bed has quality linen and woollen blankets in summer and down blankets in winter plus an electric blanket. Luxury robes are also provided.
Available in your room:
- The 32inch LCD TV is wall mounted and easy to move to view either from the two seater leather couch or from the bed.
- The wardrobe has an ironing board and iron and space to store a suitcase. There is also another luggage rack and a storage space under the window seat to store any smaller bags.
- We have made sure that there is good lighting in the room to read by in bed, sitting on the couch or when writing at the desk.
- There is a gas heater for your comfort in the winter.

In your room complimentary:
- tea, coffee or chocolate
- port
- cheese and fruit platter with biscuits
- chocolates
- red wine ( if that is your choice)
Views from your room - Enjoy the various garden views from the room the largest being the view to the lake under one of the large willow trees but another favorite is the fernery where early in the morning fantails can be seen chasing their breakfast.
